This is another attraction that has become extinct. The Enchanted Tiki room opened in 1971 as "Tropical Serenade", closed in 1997 for refurbishment and reopened in 1998 "Under new management." The new show replaces many of our old favorites with new characters. Tags: Views: 4779 Rating: Posted By: Tinkerbell |

The now retired World of Motion was an opening day attraction at EPCOT Center in 1982. It was closed in 1996 to make way for the new, high speed ride, Test Track. Omnimover vehicles took visitors scenes that were populated with Audio-Animatronic figures and some projection effects. It was a whimsical look at the history and achievements in transportation and was an interesting idea for a ride. A wonderful ride-thru our past. A ride many will never get to explore. This was a famous attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom, and operated from 1971-1994. The attraction opened two weeks after the park on October 14, 1971, and was one of its first E ticket attractions. Not exactly a clone of the Disneyland sub ride, it was bigger and more upto date. It will be missed by many. Tags: 20,000 Leagues sea submarine voyage wdw ride retired Views: 8177 Rating: Posted By: Tinkerbell |

Horizons opened in Epcot's second year of operation in 1983 as Phase II of Epcot. Horizons was the only attraction in "Future World" to showcase all of the elements Epcot's "Future World" was meant to showoff. It was a great ride portraying a vision of the future. The ride closed it's doors in 1994, temporarily reopened in 1995, then permanently closed again in 1999. The ride and it's building were then replaced by Mission: SPACE.
